Changing Appetites

okie moving on...
dinner with dongz yesterday. We went to marina square and on the first level where 7-11 is. There are 3 very nice westernised restaurant. they are cafe cartel, swensens and changing appetites. So after much consideration i went for Changing Appetite, cuz i have yet to try it. It was a tough one, between swensens and C.A. cuz i am like a big time swensens fan now~ heez

Colour menu~ and i love that cusion seat we've got, its so comfortable!

my salad! i was craving for salad~ and also i gotta watch my diet, cuz i am really putting on weight. My ima starts to complain my butt is getting bigger. =( sad! but i know she is joking la, she loves to disturb me that way~ when i am skinny she will say i am gonna let that wind blow away~

the main course. Mango cheesy chicken~ i didnt like to sweet taste form the mango slice~

anyway i still prefer swensens~ but dongz loves it and kept saying its good~ hmmmm~~...

From the start, from choosing the restaurant and to choosing the dishes is all decided by me, and for the first time he was praising me that i've made the right choice. He usually grumbles that i love to order weird stuff~

I SO Love Swensens

I guess the title tells it all!
Don't you think so?
Swensens has got like, really nice salads, side dishes, main dishes and ice creams! every thing you need for a good meal under one roof.

Okie, my writing style is so much like promoting Swensens. I guess thats all becuz of my recent job at work. I had to write so much for Bintan Lagoon Resort's blog~ You know, and my job is to like write write write and write and promote the resort. so the style abit like very hard sell ar. hahahha~ ok la, this is my personal blog and i do not wish to hard sell anything. but! Shokudo

Before i go into recommendation for the entry, i got some photo's from Alvin taken by Adinan super-pro camera. Yeah it was the wii-day we had at Adinan's house, or should i say, his super big room.

Recommendation:

Went for lunch with colleagues at Shokudo, located at bugis level one, opposite Adidas~

shokudo - Japanese western food. fusion.

the menu is so colourful~ like comics.

jades lychee sorbet~ Super nice and refreshing~

first dish, the teriyaki chicken super thin crust pizza and it was my fav for the meal. i am definately going back there again to eat this pizza~

our share of califonia maki~ oh~ erh i think its salmon maki~ i cant remember~ but it was good!

me and chloe's share of pasta with avocado and seafood~ I kinda prefer the creamy sauce this time round. Usually, elsewhere's cream sauce would be so gerlad, but the cream sauce here was not so gerlad but yet still tasty~

dessert was tofu cheese cake and my special request for them to put green tea ice cream on top of it~ it was superb! =D loves it~ 2nd fav dish of the meal~

ice-kacang japanese style~ not that fantastic though, but worth trying~

also ice-kacang just that this time round with green tea ice cream~

it was a satisfying lunch =D great~

anyway i am gonna stop for now cuz my back hurts really badly~ to the extend i have difficulties walking fast~ dunno what is wrong~

there are many possibilities, it could be it is raining and its lumatism. or it could be the gym session that has caused all the backpain. or it could be my sitting posture at work that have caused all this. anyway it sucks! haiz.. i am gonna rest~

When I Was Young

No, i am not going to sing that pussycat doll song when i was young i wanna be rich.. drive nice car...... yeah... not that~

Today when i reached Eunos MRT station on the way home, i saw this little boy wearing school uniform, i guess he is only around primary 2 or so, young and cute. I notice him as everybody was with office-wear and i was wondering why is that little boy doing here by himself. Then I realise he is not alone when he turned back to look for that someone else. Me too, looked for the someone else, just curious. So after quite some distance (you know among the crowd) i saw an old man carrying an umbrella and a little school bad. It was his grandpa i supposed.

The scenario was just familiar. Little boy walked so fast and so far ahead of his grandpa, care-freely. His grandpa, lost his balance a little while stepping onto the escalator. Then the little boy turns and hold his grandpa hand awhile, just to ensure he is still around and continued to walk ahead faster.

Seeing that scenario brings a smile to me. I remember those days when i was young, during kindergarten times, grandpa would pick me up from school everyday. He would then bring me to that nearby coffee shop when he would place me on that 20cent coin tu-tu car. And i will be happily sitting on that tu-tu car listening to that very cheena song (ya even at that time i find that song cheena hahah!) waiting for grandpa to be back from ordering those food. He will order some bar kut teh for himself and carrot cake for me. Lovely? Very, I would say.

I miss those days. It's so carefree and simple and happy~ When i am young its the best, i have got so much love from my family i didn't need to care about anything. Now as you get older, more responsibility and more stress.

The follow paragraph is gonna be at really chim description, i guess only certain ppl would understand.

Today and yesterday was to me, very perfect and peaceful. Without her around i felt that everybody was very happy and it was a better environment. But no more for tomorrow. It would be tense.

Gymnastic at Olympics, My favourite

I always look forward to watching that gymnastic at the olympics and always i missed it, its like i get to watch swimming, running and badminton and even table tennis all the time, but not gymnastic. So i finally got to watch it during dinner time today.

and i was a little pissed why didnt USA got the gold medal....

on the left is china's He Ke Xin and on the right is USA's Nastia Liukin.
And the reaon why i was pissed was becuz both of them got the same score of 16.675 but He apparently was luckier, the 5th judge let her win when her landing WASN'S perfect, her right feet was unstable and steped to the right. On the other hand, Liukin did a perfect landing, but you know, sometimes alot of other factor comes into hand.

Nastia Liukin can u believe it she is only 19! born 1989.

Anyway i was really wondering why all these gymnastian has got such beautiful skin? and Zero Cellulite?

okie ya ya ya... dont tell me the answer that only beautiful ppl can be gymnastian.

oh btw, the hottest topic on the newspaper now is the singapore table tennis girl team (form by china people). BORING!

so what if they really win the gold medal, are they really going to sing along to majullah singapura? do they really know the lyrics?

maybe learning how to sing it properly would be much difficult than winning the gold medal, so they have decided to win the silver medal! hahahahhahahahah!!! so they can save the trouble of learning how to sing majullah singapura!! whhahahahahahah!!!

and worst still, they would love to humpph along that china national antheme if china wins! omg i am so bad!

Everybody, u are gonna check this video out, its taken by val - ex marketing manager of BLR. and basically i was a crazy host and it was super funny cuz i kept laughin at myself.... and disappear after a while.... like... hahahah what the hell... just check it out.

okie its crazy right? hahah, itwas taken some time back. after that we went straight to the staff party and stayed at the villa for 1 night. okie. something to share. thats all for today~ tata

oh btw its saturday night and i am staying at home cuz poor dongz need to go back to reservist. okie... so some online shopping and clearing up all those notification at facebook will keep the night occupied.

I'm Blessed

I'm back from Bintan~ I survive! it was bad~ but ok, i've made it through.

But before i go any deeper into the the Bintan trip and the reason why it was bad. i wanna say something really meaningful.

I reached home today from work and saw granny sitting on the chair in front of the dinning time, i felt really happy. To see her, to be back at home. Dont ask me why i felt so emotional, i guess its becuz you've taste the bad fruit and you find the usual ones even sweeter~ =D

I really wanna thank whoever up there that is looking down on me, i'm blessed with such healthy life and lovely family. I would rather die without my family, my number one. I'll keep praying and i'm thankful.

When i was setting up for dinner, i felt so happy to have granny's food, it taste better than any expensive classy food outside. I wish i can learn her cooking skills, cuz i wanna cook to my family in the future, yup... my kids, my husband. She is the best chef. she cooks all kind of food, from chinese to malay to indian, to thai. =D

Mankind are strange, they only appreciate whatever they have during the bad times. hahahha~

At bintan, for the familiarization trip for media and agents, i realise alot of things. i realise some strangers that u've know only for one day can be really nice. Realised that some people should reflect on their wrong doing so they wont go to hell. Also realise that some people actually have faith in me and my capability.

Dedicated to Grace Chua

I should have posted the photos for the farewell dinner for Grace Chua earlier. It was already 2 weeks since Grace's last day and i miss her so much. its like i get to the office and there is one person lesser for me to grumble to. =D

review: dinner was great, i am definitely going back there again. i have praised it in front and Dongz and is definitely bringing him there. See, to bring the high-taste Dongz to some new restaurant, otherwise it is good, if not i am not gonna bring him there, if not sure get scolding. haha~

i love the dessert~ it was great, i can just like go there and enjoy there dessert, the red bean ice cream was superb! despite my tummy was damn full (almost gonna burst) i still love to eat more of it~ okie end of review.

how many cookies i am gonna give to the restaurant? its will be 4 cookies! =D and if there is like a special cookie prize i am gonna give out, it will be the dessert! =D the red bean one! must try!

my handsome grandpa~ he is so engrossed with the way my ima orders the food~ hahaha cuz she order like non-stop~ whaahahah!!

i had a hair cut~ it was like ages since i had a hair cut~ whahahah! and i really mean it~ since i perm my hair, its like months! and when i go back to my regular hairstylist, he saw my hair and gave me the look like "omg~ what did you do to your hair" but he never say out la, just that i could tell from his expression. he's a man with few words, and thats one point why i have stick to him for years.

my ends were all frizzed up and dried! to the extend the colour is like red, so you could imagine how dry it is. i never colour my hair at all but my hair colour just gets lighter and lighter as times goes by cuz it is really fine and worst when you have perm hair~ its like dried weed.

and he actually requested me not to have digital perm anymore, cuz he says that it is just not suitalbe for my hair, its too fine and the whole thing will look flat and frizzed up.

so i requested him to only cut an inch~ becuz i want my hair long and really long~ hahahaahah! but he was like "cannot la, gotta cut more if not very flat." sooo.. SNIP SNIP!! and he cut like 3 inches off! *sobz* and still he kept saying "don't worry its still long, still long ar"

and i have decided to fulfill one of my TO-DO list after i quit JAL, which is to have my fringe cut SHORT! Due to wanting to save the trouble of like tying bun and all, i had my fringe grew really long, to make it easier for me to tie my hair.

immediately my stylist came up with the idea of ok cut big bang like those japanese girl lo~ cuz he still taught i am with JAL. yeah of cuz i tell him i'm no longer la. but the idea of big bang is cool, you know, like long fringe make me look tired and old~

he took a really long time cutting my fringe~ its like making sure it falls on the right place~ and when he was done he was like "ya its better, just remember to trim more often. now like a doll" heez

and here are some photos taken by my ima during dinner. she was AMAZED by the result cuz she hated my previous hairstyle. she was commenting it to be like: siao charbor everytime it dries without me putting any cream~ " yeah i admit so too~ =D hahahahha

hows the change? i love it~ =D okie.. thats about it... haiz.. gotta go to bintan again tomorrow for work! *dragz* haiz.... okie nvm... i will go with my lovely dolly hair.~

Drained Out

have you ever wake up in the morning and felt so drained out, you just hope you weren't in that situation.

This is gonna be a very boring entry, all about how bad i feel now.

i am very tired at work. My current position of Sales Service Executive is soon gonna be change to Marketing Executive. Yeah, the boss has decided to swap me over. A million reasons behind it, i guess i am smart enough to know why, but shall now mention over here on my blog, also because of many reasons.

At this point of time i am suppose to juggle between handling the events, handling the company blog and teaching the new girl that is gonna substitute me, some secretarial work like getting drinks for clients and handling couriers and also taking minutes. yeah. so now you know what is draining me out. that simple 3 lines is worth me turning to white hair demon (白发魔女).

My style at work, i wanna get things done fast, its all about efficiency. Doesnt mean you are staying behind at the office till late at night means you are good. To some bosses, yes, thats the way. To some bosses, their thinking "you sincerely need some time management." I can prove it easily by staying till really late, you know, just play some msn, surf some net and ta-da! 9.30pm! head home on a cab fare claim of 15 bucks.

I wanna finish my work on time and carry on with the rest of my life. i have a family, i have got other stuff to do, like iron the clothes (*trying hard to laugh but feel too exhausted*) and do the housework, or some simple things which i think its more to life, like blogging about my feelings, at least i get to voice out.

most importantly i need sleep and rest to make the next day run smooth, if not my mind just cant operate properly. i cant thnk straight with a tired mind.

Sometimes i tell myself, i shouldnt grumble more, i am fortunate to have a job, when some dont even a decent job. but i think i deserve better.

I prefer consistency, in everything. I cant stand people that have a temper that fluctuates worst than the stock market. I cant stand people that pushes away everything during trouble time.

Anyway i am full of anger now. Thats it.

Recent Loves

Don't get bored, cuz this is gonna be an entry so Full-Of-Myself. wahhaaha! which is what i always do to my enteries.

anyway some loves are like not recent and has been ongoing, some are really recent and some are maybe for just this period, but some are to last for very long. get it? hmm~

The Girls...

i love hanging out with my jal girls, jan and shyann. cuz they are so full of craps. talk about that penguin joke! anyway, anyone know the answer to this joke? Why are penguin's body only white on the belly area but not the back area? the answer is ultimate lame, shall review the answer at the end of the entry.

wii!! so in love with it. its at Adinan house, his big TV!
shyann says its like Sports Day for us! cuz we played like, golf, tennis, bowling, boxing and COOKING! but all virtual, heez. on WII~ =D so in love with it~. =D

the girls having a great time boxing, hahah its good exercise, you dont even need to head to the gym for some good session or CARDIO!

New Brand

bought a dress from this brand at bugis the other day with Grace during lunch time. I miss her, i miss those non-stop-so-much-to-talk-about lunch time with her. *sobz* and she helped me become a member by buying a white sweet top, heez, thankew Grace. Cuz i just needed that alittle bit more. =D

pedicure~

it has always been my love, i just love that clean-up feeling after a relaxing and comfortable session of classic pedicure, my feets are like rebirth with tinklebell feeling, =D

and of cuz i love my Darline~ her accompany always makes me feel so happy~

we just got nothing better to do and its as if we were at home~

sweet darline~ its been a long time since we've meet but everytime is fill with joy and fun~ just a simple session of pedicure and lots of eating and shopping~ although i never buy anything, see i am working hard towards that saving plan~

so love my nails, hands a darker shade from the feet.~ and the flowers are so pretty! and that girl was telling me its her first time drawing on customer's toe. I wont believe her lor! she must have done it a zillion times on her on feet then~

but that aunty that did my hands was simply irritating, cuz she kept insisting that i move alot and that is affecting her painting~ she even stop me from talking! cuz she say when i talk i move! what the hell!! freak! super angry, but i shall not talk about this unhappy incident, cuz its suppose to be my recent love, not hate! yeah~ so not~

=D heez although i prefer alot to be the fair princess. i wanted a change cuz my arms are like getting super dark as the days goes by, and its only the arms! cuz when i go to work, and for lunch, and out for appointment, the sun is always so bright and SUNNY! so i seriously needed to do something to get that even skin tone, which is to tan the other parts of my body~ =D yeah

sun tanning by the pool with dongz~ heez. he wanna be beach boy! heez. joking la =D i am the one that wanna be beach girl! hahahha~ also joking la~, where got so fit~

cuz penguin's flaps are too short and it cant reach the back area during bathing, so it can only wash the belly area, thats is why it's so clean and white =D
